Medicare’s New Payment Model Is Built For AI, And Most Of The Tech World Has No Idea

Medicare AI Payment Model Could Reshape Healthcare A major shift is quietly happening inside the U.S. healthcare system, and it could change how artificial intelligence is used in medicine for the next decade. The new Medicare AI payment model, known as ACCESS, is creating financial incentives for healthcare providers to use AI-powered tools to improve patient outcomes instead of simply billing for doctor visits and routine check-ins. The move is attracting startups, healthcare investors, and policy experts because it opens the door for AI systems to play a much larger role in patient care.
